溫柔善良的 Teacher Monica (莫妮卡)

Hi. My name is Monica Medina, one of your online English teachers here at HiTutor. I believe
Language is life, and learning is a lifelong quest. For me, teaching is also learning about other
people’s culture, beliefs, and aspirations. Learning English can be a fun experience, full of
human interaction.

嗨！我是莫妮卡瑪迪納，嗨家教英語老師，我相信語言是生命的一部份，而學習是一生的探索。對我而言，身為老師也是要學著了解其他人的文化、信仰及志向。學習英語是與人充分交流、互動的有趣經驗。

I have a degree in Business Economics from the Ateneo University. Teaching is my vocation. I have worked with students from different countries - Vietnamese, Cambodians, Japanese, and
Koreans. I have worked with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees as a Language,
Culture and Work Orientation Trainer for US-bound Indochinese Refugees.

我主修商業經濟學，畢業於馬尼拉雅典耀大學。教學是我的本分，曾敎導過來自不同國家的學生，如：越南、柬埔寨、日本和韓國等。也曾與聯合國難民救濟總署合作，教導將飛往美國的印支難民們語言、文化及工作取向。

Time spent with a student is like time spent with a friend. Working with Korean students for six years was an enriching experience. I had a great opportunity to visit their country and work with Korean English Teachers in a summer English workshop. Now I look forward to getting to know Taiwanese students.

我認為與學生相處就像與朋友相處一樣。曾因為一個很棒的機會，到韓國拜訪，並在一個夏天的英語研討會上與一個英語老師合作。現在，我非常期待認識台灣的學生。

My hobbies are few and simple --- a little gardening and cooking, and the rest of the time, being with my family.

我的興趣不多且很簡單，園藝、料理之外，剩下的時間是與家人相處的時間。
